Sega’s highly anticipated new installment in the Yakuza series will be available for Xbox Series X when the console launches.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon will also grace the Xbox One, and it comes with Smart Delivery across Microsoft’s two platforms (allowing you to play it on either current or next-gen consoles without any additional cost). Additionally, it offers cross-save, which is a convenient feature.

Previously, Yakuza: Like a Dragon was a PlayStation 4 exclusive in Japan. However, we now know that it will also be launching in the west for the PS4. Although this game has been PlayStation-only in Japan until now, it is set to make its way to the west for PS4 as well.

The Xbox has been relatively late to the Yakuza party – but this has started to change in recent times with the release of Yakuza 0 on the platform earlier this year (alongside Xbox Game Pass).

During Microsoft’s major XO19 event in London last year, Xbox boss Phil Spencer mentioned that he had been working towards improving the availability of Japanese series such as Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and Yakuza on Xbox. And it seems that his efforts are finally starting to pay off.
