What’s Coming to Game Pass in September
Your monthly rundown of Game Pass additions is set to become more bustling, courtesy of the official debut of Microsoft’s Xcloud streaming service – now officially rechristened as Cloud Gaming – slated for tomorrow, September 15th. Its advent ushers in over 150 playable games to Android devices through an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, signifying that September’s Game Pass roundup is the inaugural one to encompass titles arriving on Android as well as Xbox One and PC.
The excitement commences on September 17th, when Relic Entertainment’s highly lauded WW2 real-time strategy endeavor, Company of Heroes 2, makes its way to PC Game Pass. And September 22nd proves to be an exceptionally hectic day, introducing a slew of titles that span multiple platforms.
For Android, its first addition materializes in the guise of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep & Forsaken (which also joins Xbox One Game Pass). Subsequently, Halo 3: ODST migrates onto Android and PC as part of the latter’s enhanced Master Chief Collection. Microsoft highlights that ODST Firefight will simultaneously join the Master Chief Collection on both console and PC, bringing along online matchmaking, dedicated servers, and novel custom game modes across 10 heritage maps.
Then, on September 24th, developer Infinite Fall’s beloved narrative adventure, Night in the Woods, arrives on PC, Xbox One, and Android. Concluding the month’s additions is the co-op-centered first-person fantasy basher, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, which makes its entrance to Xbox One and Android on the same day.
Naturally, Cloud Gaming isn’t the sole remarkable Game Pass occurrence this month. As disclosed last week, Xbox Game Pass for PC exits its beta phase and undergoes a price hike to align with the Xbox One version on September 17th. Nevertheless, existing subscribers will be billed at the old rate for the next billing cycle. In summary:
