Borderlands: Psycho Krieg, New Game, Acquisitions & More

Gearbox has unveiled the initial particulars of Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck, the fourth and ultimate paid DLC campaign of Borderlands 3, prior to its launch on September 10th.

In accordance with Gearbox’s most recent blog post, Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck (which I’ll simply refer to as Psycho Krieg hereinafter, as I don’t have an abundance of time) is a “fierce and surreal odyssey into insanity”, guided by the “brilliant” scientist Patricia Tannis.

In a nutshell, Tannis’ investigation into the mysterious force accountable for the erratic conduct of Borderlands 3’s psychos leads her to Vaulthalla, a “mythical realm that induces madness in all who uncover its genuine nature”. To unlock its secrets, Tannis decides to teleport you and your fellow Vault Hunters into the brain of the eponymous Krieg.

Once securely situated within his cranium, players must confront the two facets of Krieg’s personality – one composed, the other brimming with homicidal rage – in order to endure his “twisted, flesh-filled mental landscapes” and obtain the rewards. There are indications of the strangeness that awaits those courageous enough to embark on this brain-diving escapade in Gearbox’s reveal trailer above.

Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck will be accessible as a component of Borderlands 3’s season pass, or as an individual purchase, when it arrives on Xbox One, PS4, and PC in September.
