Knockout City Blasts onto Xbox Game Pass & EA Play

EA has announced that Knockout City launches directly into Xbox Game Pass and EA Play. The upcoming team-based dodgebrawl title from Velen Studios will be freely accessible to all EA Play members when it releases on May 21st. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC members can also gain access to the full game through their EA Play access.

At the launch, all EA Play members across various platforms will have unrestricted access to the entire game, and they will also receive an exclusive outfit. Knockout City will be released on May 21st on PC via Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S through backwards compatibility. The game supports full cross-play and cross-progression. Additionally, a free trial will be available at launch, which will be available for a limited period.

Meanwhile, Microsoft has announced that Dragon Quest Builders 2 is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S via backwards compatibility, and to PC and Xbox Game Pass (console, cloud, and PC) on May 4th. As an Xbox Play Anywhere title, you can play Dragon Quest Builders 2 on Xbox and PC with shared saved progress and achievements.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is the block-building RPG from the creators of the Dragon Quest series, Yuji Horii, character designer Akira Toriyama, and composer Koichi Sugiyama. Martin reviewed Dragon Quest Builders 2 in 2019, awarding it a recommended badge. He wrote, “The Minecraft and Dragon Quest mash-up gets refined for the sequel, with a few other outside influences helping make it a laid-back joy.”
