Capcom’s Deep Down: PS4 Exclusives & More

Capcom has made an exciting announcement about a brand-new fantasy action Intellectual Property (IP), tentatively named Deep Down.

This project is being crafted for the PlayStation 4. However, during Sony’s conference, unlike other showcased games, there was no indication that it is an exclusive.

Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono presented footage that was running on the company’s revolutionary next-gen Panta Rhei engine. This engine seems capable of generating particle effects and advanced lighting that can rival the renowned “smoking man” Unreal Engine 4 video.

Short clips of “gameplay” were displayed, depicting men in armor stealthily moving through a cave to launch an attack on a dragon. One of the characters selects a fire arrow and shoots it towards the mighty beast.

Ono stated that the game is under development at Capcom along with the new engine. No additional release details were provided.
