The PlayStation 4 reveal has come and passed, yet there remains no trace of The Last Guardian.

Speculation has been rampant that The Last Guardian has shifted from being a PS3 game to a PS4 one.

Oh, wait, I’ve discovered it!

The game’s creator, Fumito Ueda – who departed from Sony Japan but apparently still oversees the project – issued a statement last week, clarifying that Sony is in charge of disclosing information about the game and that we should “stay vigilant”.

The timing of the statement coincided with the theory that ‘it will be announced as a PS4 game at the PlayStation Meeting’.

Now, where do we stand? Is Sony withholding the game for E3? Is it a PS4 game?

Ueda’s statement at least seemed to imply that it hasn’t been abandoned, and that work is continuing.

Tom Bramwell is in New York at the PlayStation Meeting and will endeavor to uncover more.
