EA has unveiled the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S editions of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

For the current holders of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Respawn’s action game, they are entitled to a complimentary cross-generation upgrade.

Today, EA announced that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has attracted more than 20 million players globally since its debut in November 2019. That might be the reason why it is getting a sequel!

EA stated that this native next-generation version provides higher-resolution textures and assets, 4K/HDR resolution, enhanced 60fps performance, and notably faster loading times.

It also incorporates two graphical settings on Xbox Series X and PS5: Performance Mode (ON) – 1440p resolution at 60fps, and Performance Mode (OFF) – 4K resolution at 30fps.

EA mentioned that there is no graphical setting on Xbox Series S, as the performance is fixed at 1080p/60fps.

You are able to transfer your save file from the Xbox One or PS4 versions of the game to Xbox Series X and S, or PS5.

On Xbox Series X and S, the next-generation version retrieves your save from your cloud storage or on-console storage automatically.

It is more complicated on PS5, as we are already familiar with. You need to ensure that your PS5 has the PS4 save data on the system storage, either from the previous PS4 version playtime on the console, download from cloud storage, or transfer via USB stick. From there, an “import PS4 system save data” prompt will appear on the start-up screen. Select that option and you can utilize your older save data.

If you transfer your save, all your trophies and achievements unlocked in the previous-generation version will also be unlocked in the next-generation version.
