Upcoming stealth game, Abduction, uses CryEngine 3

A modder named Dark12345 has showcased an impressive stealth game created using CryEngine 3 called Abduction.

The game’s story is kept confidential, but the developer’s description on the CryEngine dev forums mentions that players must “utilize the cloak of darkness to maneuver and eliminate enemies. They can set traps, rig rooms, spy on foes, and gather information to aid in their progress through the game.”

Unfortunately, the embedded media in this article can no longer be displayed.

The trailer above evokes a strong resemblance to Chronicles of Riddick, with its dim stone corridors and focus on killing lights, hiding in the shadows, and raining death from above. Additionally, the gun’s iron sights appear to be a homage to Splinter Cell protagonist Sam Fisher’s signature goggles. Could this be mere coincidence?

Abduction is still in the works, and Dark12345 aims to incorporate more advanced AI, a distraction system, high-quality cinematics, traps, as well as custom textures and player models.
