While it was thrilling to witness The Almighty explode and crash into the Earth, it felt somewhat like a 90-minute wait for a few exciting minutes of action. Nevertheless, it’s fantastic to see Destiny attempting something it has never done before.

ORIGINAL STORY: Bungie has signaled that Destiny 2 will witness its first live event in the style of Fortnite as the powerful AI Rasputin aims at The Almighty, a colossal Cabal superweapon that is on a collision course with The Last City on Earth.

This event marks the climax of Destiny 2’s 10th season, titled Season of the Worthy, and a storyline in which The Almighty is plummeting towards The Last City. The Almighty is a massive Cabal superweapon that was left damaged and orbiting the Sun at the end of the Destiny 2 campaign. At the start of the season, a desperate Psion Flayer set The Almighty on a collision course with Earth. Players then had to effectively charge up Rasputin through a series of Seraph Tower events so that it could utilize its powerful weapons to shoot The Almighty out of the sky.

So, what can we anticipate? It is expected that The Almighty will not destroy Earth or the Tower, but players have discovered evidence that Destiny’s renowned social space does get significantly damaged – by glitching into the future of the Tower.

Regardless of what occurs, this is Destiny 2’s first genuine live event in the sense of Fortnite. Bungie staff have stated that Destiny 2 players can enter the Tower before the reset and do not need to restart the instance to witness the excitement.

No, you should be fine.
