“Doctor Who: Teaching Kids to Code Fun”

The BBC has made an exciting announcement – The Doctor and the Dalek, a brand-new Doctor Who game starring the talented Peter Capaldi. This game is specially crafted to inspire children to acquire fundamental coding skills.

The game showcases a captivating story penned by Doctor Who writer Phil Ford. In this tale, the renowned Time Lord comes to the rescue of a troubled Dalek and endeavors to reprogram it.

Designed to seamlessly fit into the Key Stage 2 and 3 learning curriculum, players will be gently guided to utilize variables, repetition, and loops to modify their Dalek’s behavior and guide it safely through platforming-style levels.

Starting from this Wednesday, 22nd October, the game will be available for free download on the CBBC website. Currently, it is only accessible for PC, but a tablet version is in the pipeline and will be released later this year.
