First Look at Total War: Elysium Gameplay

Sega has unveiled gameplay footage of Total War: Elysium, its free-to-download collectible card game spin-off. We first got wind of Elysium back in August 2019 when Creative Assembly announced its initial launch in China. Now, Sega has declared a western release, starting with mobile platforms this year and then on to PC later. Here’s the official spiel:

“Situated in Elysium, the City of Legends, Elysium showcases an extensive array of history’s preeminent generals, each possessing a distinct playstyle. Take Napoleon with his ranged tactics, Cao Cao’s control-focused methods, and Lagertha’s aggressive nature. Complementing them are an armada of battle cards inspired by history throughout the ages, like the ferocious Jian Sword Guard, the devastating Mangonels, and the supreme Trireme warships and many more.

The thrilling gameplay board offers countless options for the general within us all, with dynamic battleline mechanics, midgame deck editing, and the novel Daybreak mechanic that brings the essence of the battlefield to the CCG board. Boasting both single-player and multiplayer modes, Elysium will plunge both CCG veterans and beginners into a battle for the ages!”
