Take-Two, the publisher of Grand Theft Auto 5, revealed in its latest financial report that it has “sold-in” (i.e. shipped) over 32.5 million copies of its latest open-world crimefest.

This might not sound like that huge an increase since it had already shifted 29 million units by the end of October, suggesting things have slowed down a lot, but by any other standard that extra 3.5 million is still quite impressive.

GTA 5 sold like gangbusters out of the gate, moving over 1.57 million units in the UK alone on launch day. After three weeks, it overtook GTA4’s lifetime sales in the UK.

Sadly, Take-Two is staying mum on the possibility of a PC or next-gen release of GTA5.

The publisher also boasted about its sales of NBA 2K14, which has shipped over 5 million units, with the entire series selling over 35 million copies.

This has been a major boon for the publisher, which saw its GAAP net revenue increase to $1.86 billion in Q3 fiscal 2014 (i.e. Q4 2013), up from $415.77 million during the same time frame the previous year. Take-Two’s net income also increased in a major way, with $578.4 million last quarter – a major increase over last year’s $70.9 million.
