Mega Man Legacy Collection is set to make its grand entrance on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 25th, as announced by Capcom. This exciting news is sure to thrill fans of the classic franchise.

The image showcases a classic Mega Man foe, a character that is hard to forget. And the price? It will be available for £11.99 / €14.99 / $14.99.

The 3DS version is steadily progressing and is still on schedule for an early 2016 release.

Capcom mentioned on its blog that there will be a physical release of the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions in North America for $29.99. Unfortunately, there is no word on a similar release for Europe.

The Mega Man Legacy Collection is a remarkable offering. It includes Mega Mans 1 through 6, remastered in HD while still preserving their original 8-bit charm. This combination of updated graphics and nostalgic appeal is sure to captivate players.

In addition to the remastered games, the collection comes with several exciting features. There’s a Challenge mode with online leaderboards and video replays, adding a competitive edge. A digital museum filled with concept art and old marketing materials offers a fascinating look into the franchise’s history. An in-game soundtrack allows you to enjoy any tune from all six games, while different aspect ratio options, ranging from Full to Wide to “original”, provide a customizable viewing experience. Quick-save states make the gameplay more convenient, and an enemy database enables you to look up information on each foe and even practice boss fights.

Hopefully, this collection will satisfy fans as they wait. Unfortunately, Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune has just postponed his spiritual successor to the Blue Bomber, Mighty No. 9, until 2016.

With all these exciting features and the anticipation surrounding the release, Mega Man Legacy Collection is shaping up to be a must-have for fans of the series.
