MercurySteam’s New Game & Beta Keys! Dev Shares Insights, Debuts Gameplay

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow developer MercurySteam has made an exciting announcement – an upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer title, Raiders of the Broken Planet.

Scheduled to arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year, the developer characterizes Raiders of the Broken Planet as a “distinctive fusion of shooting, brawling, and a strategic approach for the thoughtful player.” It revolves around a planet that holds a potent substance named Aleph, over which everyone is engaged in a fierce battle.

Raiders of the Broken Planet will be released in episodes. “We recognized an enticing opportunity with this title to leverage digital distribution and present the game at a significantly lower entry threshold than would typically be feasible,” the studio stated. “This model also enables us to collaborate closely with gamers to create something that they can actively contribute to shaping.”

The forthcoming game signifies MercurySteam’s initial venture into self-publishing.
