Nintendo Switch Online Premium Launches Soon! £35/Year
Last month’s revelation has now led to Nintendo’s ultimate announcement of the launch and pricing particulars for its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service, which is set to come alive on 26th October.
This superior version of Nintendo’s existing online service will grant access to all the functionalities encompassed in the basic tier, namely multiplayer, NES and SNES games, along with cloud saves. Additionally, it will offer exclusive access to a gradually expanding assortment of Mega Drive and N64 games. These games will support suspend points, and for certain titles, online multiplayer.
Nintendo has also disclosed that it will be incorporating Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s freshly declared Happy Home Paradise expansion as an extra inducement at no additional cost.
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack will be live on 26th October (with Happy Home Paradise arriving on 5th November). A 12-month subscription will cost £34.99/49.99 USD for an individual membership, and £59.99/$79.99 USD for the family option, which supports up to eight accounts. Nintendo states that a pro-rated discount will be automatically applied when changing subscriptions, based on the number of days remaining on a current membership. However, it did not elaborate further in its announcement.

Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, Lylat Wars, Sin and Punishment, Dr. Mario 64, Mario Tennis 64, Operation: WinBack, Yoshi’s Story.
**Sega Mega Drive launch line-up:**
Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage 2, Ecco the Dolphin, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Contra: Hard Corps, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Golden Axe, Gunstar Heroes, M.U.S.H.A., Phantasy Star IV, Ristar, Shining Force, Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master, Strider.
