In an expansive universe brimming with boundless possibilities, where would your heart desire to venture? If your response is ‘Guildford High Street’, then, behold, fortune smiles upon you, as intrepid space adventurers can now explore west Surrey’s most alluring destination in No Man’s Sky.
Perhaps, initially, a swift introduction for those who have yet to personally encounter the wonders of Guildford High Street; it is the heart of a small town positioned approximately 40 miles southwest of London, which incidentally serves as a flourishing hub for the UK’s game development landscape.

It goes without saying that it is the latter that sparked the inspiration of one courageous No Man’s Sky creator, known as Rasdar07, to construct Guildford High Street within the game – an accomplishment that they claim took four days. “I began the construction two months ago, but my PC began to malfunction, preventing me from continuing,” they elucidated on Twitter. “Last week, I returned to NMS and resumed the build, and this is the outcome.”
Those eager to experience Rasdar07’s digital deep-space replica, which ostensibly encompasses even the building interiors, and admire Hello Games’ interstellar offices from a distance, can do so by activating an in-game portal and entering the coordinates displayed in the bottom corner of the image below. For those who prefer, Twitch streamer LordFrobozz has also conducted a video walkthrough (beginning around the 1hr 46m mark).

It has also just dawned on me that Switch/Steam Deck owners can now visit Guildford High Street in No Man’s Sky while physically standing on Guildford High Street in reality. What a marvel of technology!
