Sims 4 Goes Green, Cheats, Updates, DLCs, Movie Adaptation, & More

The Sims 4 is set to become even more eco-friendly on 5th June when its eagerly anticipated Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack arrives on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. This latest addition to The Sims 4 is the ninth expansion pack, not including the various Stuff and Game Packs that have been released since the game’s initial launch in 2014. The bulk of the new pack is focused on the exciting new city of Evergreen Harbour.

In Evergreen Harbour, players will have the opportunity to lead their Sims community towards a more sustainable future. By rallying the town, they can transform the polluted and rundown city into a haven of eco-friendly living. This includes creating clean energy sources such as solar panels, wind turbines, and dew collectors, as well as growing your own food. There are also new vertical gardens and living rooftops, and the ability to upcycle materials and create unique furniture and clothing.

To help Sims along their eco-friendly journey, the game introduces a new Community Voting Board. This tool allows players to initiate various weekly Neighbourhood Action Plans. For example, they can encourage their neighbours to install eco-friendly objects, establish a Community Space for shared crafting and planting, or even change the look of an area.

For those Sims really committed to an eco-friendly lifestyle, there are two new occupations to pursue: Civil Designer and Freelance Crafter. The latter is responsible for fulfilling orders for items such as candles, fizzy juices, and upcycled goods.

The Sims 4’s Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack will be available on 5th June for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and will cost £34.99/$39.99 USD.
